In USA Today bestselling author Janice Maynard’s sweet and sexy new series, three childhood friends with a shared passion for the Outlander novels and TV show decide to travel to Scotland looking for adventure—and their very own Highland heroes…
Willow Ryman is as crazy about Scotland as her friends, but she’s on a tighter budget. So during their visit, she opts to stay at a shabby local hostel instead of a cozy B&B. When the owners abruptly decide to shut down for renovations, Willow is left out in the cold—until while exploring the countryside, Willow meets a handsome, friendly, kilt-clad fisherman. The Scotsman is everything she’s dreamed about. But he’s a blueblood, and she’s blue collar…
Bryce McBrae’s lineage as Laird McBrae has always been more of a burden than a blessing. Rarely does it spark such stimulating conversation as he enjoys with the pretty, refreshing American. Wanting more and unwilling to let Willow slip away, he invites her to stay at his castle. But as the two fall hard and fast for each other, they’ll have to decide whether this is just a vacation fling—or a sexy Cinderella story come true…

Book 2 of the Kilted Heroes series: These titles might be enjoyed more if you're familiar with the Outlander series which forms the motivation for the heroines' trip to Scotland; however, the author gives just enough detail about Outlander to help the reader understand. If you want stories based almost purely on romance, these are for you. In each title, the heroine (can you be a heroine when no truly heroic events are involved?) goes to Scotland seeking adventure and romance and in predictable fashion, finds it. Sometimes the Scottish travelogue almost takes over the story. At other times, the waffling between "forever love" and "temporary adventure" becomes almost tedious.Books 1 and 2 could be read as stand-alones in any order, but book 3 should only be read after you've read the other 2. The books are better edited than some, but could still benefit from a careful review. These are light-weight, feel-good stories for those who aren't searching for deep meaning and literary excellence.

Scot Of My Dreams Kilted Heroes Book 2 edition by Janice Maynard Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
Absolutely adorable story! I'm a total Outlander addict and I so identified with our main character... Loved 'Hot for the Scot' and reading both has been so fun! Just starting third book which was just published... A trio of treats for Outlander lovers!
A good story--solid, and believable. The pace was good, and the problems and perspectives were credible and handled well. This isn't a brillant classic, but a good contempary romance.
This is the second book in a series of three. I read the first book not knowing the author, but after reading the first book I had to get the rest of the series. If you are a fan of Outlander and dream of visiting Scotland and finding your own Jamie Fraser these are the books for you.
I just can't get enough of this series. It put me right back in Scotland when I visited. The description and details of the story are so vivid. Bryce and Willow Are great together. I love how the author spins the Outlander series in with the story, it's a true highland romance. Can't wait for Mackenzie's adventure
I can easily see a group of friends going on a vacation to Scotland to see the places from Outlander. Splitting up? Not a great idea, but it works for the book. Some of the plot points were a bit odd, but endearing, and in all, I enjoyed the book and plan to read the others. That is, after I read one or two of the Outlander books, and watch at least the first season of the series.
I really love this 3 book series. Very descriptive of beautiful Scotland. The characters are likeable and have depth. Message to author- more books please, you have great talent.
The romantic story is great because the characters are not some fantasy but believable with obligations in their own lives.
Janice Maynard seems to be hit or miss for me. I enjoyed her Suite Fantasy stories. This Scot of My Dreams, not so much. If I had known this series was written in first person, I would not have purchased this book. I tried to read it because it was set in Scotland, but gave up midway. Nothing unique or memorable here. The castle could have been any home anywhere, Scotland anyplace, personal issues were the same as you find in any series romance. If you like Harlequin romance and don't mind the same old story told the same way and in first person, I expect you'll have a different opinion.
